HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR DECAL
You applied your decal, now what?
You applied your new decal (See HOW TO APPLY YOUR DECAL) and now you are wondering how to care for it. See below for instructions on how to clean your decal as well as what to avoid in order to not damage it. Taking extra precautions will extend the life of your vinyl decal so you can enjoy it for years to come.
See our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for more information regarding your decal.
What to avoid after applying your decal
Avoid constant exposure to weather. Oracal 651 (outdoor vinyl) is durable and will last years, however, exposure to the elements will fade and damage your decal. Storing your vehicle in the garage or under a tarp will extend the life of your decal.
Oracal 631 (indoor vinyl) for temporary applications outside or in high-moisture environments but your decal may not last as long as expected.
DO NOT use power washers
DO NOT use squeegees.
DO NOT use wire scrubbers.
DO NOT use car washes with brushes.
DO NOT put your decal in the dishwasher.
DO NOT use steam cleaners.
DO NOT use the rear window wiper of vehicle. It will destroy your decal.
DO NOT use window scrapers.
DO NOT use a hose at full force when cleaning your vehicle. Keep hose at least 18” from decal.
DO NOT leave immersed in water to soak.
