All decals are made with premium Oracal vinyl. Each decal comes with high-quality transfer tape to aide in positioning on chosen surface. Each order comes with an application kit (i.e. cleansing wipe, PVC card, application instructions) for easy decal application.
Decals are removable, but not reusable. Oracal 651 (Outdoor/Permanent) vinyl may damage surface during removal process.
Decals can be applied to most smooth, clean, surfaces. However, some surfaces are not suitable for decal application. The decal may not adhere to the surface and come off the transfer tape. See “CHOOSING YOUR SURFACE“ for more information. Test samples are available upon request.
Decals come in a wide array of sizes up to 11.5″ tall. Choose from Oracal 631 (Indoor/Temporary/Matte) or Oracal 651 (Outdoor/Permanent/Glossy) vinyl in a wide variety of colors to fit your unique decor and style. Custom sizes up to 11.5″ high are available upon request.

DO NOT USE listing mockups to choose a size. Mockups are NOT TO SCALE. Decal dimensions are available under the listing dropdown labeled “CHOOSE YOUR SIZE". To ensure you get the correct size, MEASURE THE SPACE you wish to place the decal and MAKE A TEMPLATE so you can determine if the decal is big or small enough to fit the space you have available. See below for more information.

The sizes shown are OVERALL DIMENSIONS of the decal and include ALL decal components (e.g. letters, decorative elements, etc.). Dimensions are shown in INCHES.
Please read the following information carefully BEFORE purchasing your decal.
1) With a ruler, measure the HEIGHT(h) and WIDTH(w) of space you plan on applying your decal. For a decal to be seen at a distance (ex. car window) you need to choose a bigger decal. Typically, 5 inches works best but each design is different, a smaller height may work better if the width is very long.
2) Often, it is good to have space between your decal and the edge of the surface you plan on applying the decal. For example, if you are applying a decal to a mug and the mug is 4 inches high, purchase a decal that is 3 or 3.5 inches so you have a .25 to .5 inch space at the top and bottom of your mug.
3) If you are in doubt, make a template by cutting a piece of paper using the dimensions of the decal you wish to purchase. For example, if you want to apply a decal to your front door that is 3 inches high and 10.29 inches wide, make a template that is 3 high and 10.5 inches wide and place on your door to see if the decal will fit.
4) Visual size guide – sizes are approximate:
— 1 inch = Height of quarter
— 2 inch = Height of domino
— 3 inch = Height of Deck of playing cards
— 4.5 inch = Height of slice of bread
— 6 inch = Length of an American dollar bill
— 7.5 inch = Height of DVD case
— 8.5 inch = Width of piece of copy paper
— 10 inch = Height of standard dinner plate
— 11 inch = Height of piece of copy paper
— 12 inch = Length of ruler
5) Please note that the symbol ” means inches. Also, HEIGHT is abbreviated with h or H and WIDTH is abbreviated with w or W. If only height is listed, that means the width is the same or slightly smaller.

— Ideal for short to medium term indoor applications, specifically on painted drywall surfaces
— Temporary, low tack, and removable. Once removed, decal cannot be reapplied.
— May not adhere well to Low or No VOC paints, newly painted walls (less than 6 weeks), or scuff resistant paint. See CHOOSING YOUR SURFACE for more information.
— Finish is matte
— DO NOT use in extreme weather, heavy-use, heavy abuse, or high-moisture conditions.
— Thickness: 3 mil
— Durability: 3 years
— Temperature resistance is -40 degrees F to +176 degrees F
— Minimum application temperature is 50 degrees F

OUTDOOR VINYL – Oracal 651 – Permanent Vinyl
— Ideal for medium term indoor and outdoor applications
— Can be placed on almost any smooth, hard, dry surface. Ideal surfaces include plastic, metal, glass, ceramic, painted wood
— Permanent, high tack, removable but can damage painted or other delicate surfaces. Once removed, decal cannot be reapplied.
— May not adhere well to Low or No VOC paints, newly painted walls (less than 6 weeks), or scuff resistant paint. See CHOOSING YOUR SURFACE for more information.
— Finish is glossy except Black and White is available in both matte and glossy
— Can handle moisture, heavy use, heavy abuse, and extreme weather conditions. Prolonged exposure to extreme conditions will accelerate wear and tear on decal and fade the color. Do not immerse in water for long periods of time.
— Thickness: 2.5 mil
— Durability: up to 6 years (Metallic is 4 years, Brilliant Blue is 3 years)
— Temperature resistance is -40 degrees F to +176 degrees F
— Minimum application temperature is 46 degrees F

IMPORTANT!!! A decal cannot be applied to all surfaces. In order for a decal to adhere properly, the surface must be clean, smooth, hard, largely flat, & dry with a temperature between 50-90°F. If the decal is not coming off the transfer tape, the decal is not properly adhering to your surface.
**Stellar and Stark is not responsible for decals not sticking to your chosen surface, errors applying your decal, or any damage that may occur to your surface during decal application or decal removal. See APPLYING YOUR DECAL for more information.
The most common problems found with decal application are as follows:
–NOT choosing the correct vinyl type (indoor vs outdoor vinyl);
–NOT rubbing the top of the transfer tape thoroughly before pulling tape from decal;
–SURFACE is not flat enough e.g. washing machine door shaped like an upside-down bowl;
–SURFACE is too hot (over 90 degrees); SURFACE is too cold (below 50 degrees);
–SURFACE is too bumpy or textured;
–SURFACE is wet or environment is too humid;
–SURFACE is not cleaned properly (dirt, oil, soap, chemical residue, etc.);
–SURFACE is newly painted – WAIT AT LEAST 6 WEEKS;
–SURFACE is painted with value paint;
–SURFACE paint is old, flaking, powdery, or chalky;
–SURFACE is painted with eggshell paint;
–SURFACE is painted with low or zero VOC paint (“Green paint”);
–SURFACE is painted with “Teflon”, “silicone” or similar additives to make them “wash and wear“ e.g. – scuff resistant, child resistant, wear resistant, etc.;
–SURFACE is papered e.g. wallpaper, cardboard, cardstock;
-SURFACE is waxed;
--SURFACE is silicone
-SURFACE is covered with window film e.g. frosted, tinted, etc. - this includes window film applied by manufacturer;
MIRRORS - Notice - If applying to mirrors, there may be a reflection effect. This effect is especially noticeable with dark colored vinyl.
TEST YOUR SURFACE: Test the surface using a piece of masking tape or Washi tape. Though not foolproof, this simple test may indicate whether your decal will stick to your chosen surface. IMPORTANT!
Vinyl decals are made with permanent or temporary adhesive. Before applying your decal, be confident of placement and make sure you understand how to apply the decal correctly. The vinyl decal CANNOT be be removed and re-applied. If you make a mistake applying your decal, Stellar and Stark has a Decal Replacement Program that allows you to purchase a replacement decal at a big discount so you can try your decal application again.

APPLY YOUR DECAL IMMEDIATELY. Be sure to apply the decal to your chosen surface as soon as possible. The adhesive on the transfer tape and the decal changes as time goes by and can make your decal difficult or impossible to apply.
Stellar and Stark is not responsible for decals not sticking to your chosen surface, errors applying your decal, or any damage that may occur to your surface during decal application or decal removal. However, it is important to us that you are happy with your purchase.

The product looks great. The only issue was that letters A, M, W and H all had issues with not adhering to to the fridge and I had to very carefully remove and tweak. So it was time consuming. I followed the directions to the T so just beware you will have to have patients.
